What We Offer
Master Key System Types for Every Property
Master key systems range from simple two-level setups to complex multi-tier hierarchies. The right system depends on how many doors you have, how many people need access, and how granular the access levels need to be.
- Standard master key system - One master key opens all locks, and each door also has its own individual change key. The most common setup for small offices and retail stores.
- Grand master system - Multiple master key groups under one grand master key. Used in larger buildings where different departments or floors need separate access while management keeps a single key for everything.
- Sub-master key system - Adds a middle layer between individual keys and the master. A property manager might have a master key, each building super has a sub-master for their building, and each tenant has their own key.
- Maison key system - Common-area doors like lobbies, mailrooms, and gyms are keyed so every tenant can enter shared spaces, but each tenant's key only opens their own unit. Popular in apartment buildings and HOA communities.
- Construction master key - A temporary master key used during construction or renovation. Once the project is complete, the construction master is invalidated and only the permanent keys work.
